Killing time

I was running low on inspiration, so I opened up the newspaper and started sketching some of the more interesting images I found...lots of fun faces, I'm sure there'll be more to come!

Trio

I'll probably paint all three of these, but for now, a couple of oddballs.

Nude paint

Still working on painting. I think I have the hang of blending the tones, but I like leaving it with the rough brush strokes.

Faces

Some of these are inspired by real folk, others made up...and my dog Muttley.

Crash landing

While the power was out in our building, I went to the local pub to thumbnail some ideas for a new design project at school. I don't usually use pen, but in the dim light of the venue, it was necessary.

Quick Sketchbook paint

I find Photoshop really slow to use...I can't remember any of the hotkeys, and I never remember any of the brushes I like, so I end up trying all of them any time I switch to a new brush. Not to mention all of the stuff that I have to search through to find the few simple tools I use all the time, and all the buttons are so tiny, despite my 20/20 vision, I still have trouble finding stuff! Any way I prefer Sketchbook for drawing and thought maybe with the brushes they have, I wouldn't need to use Photoshop. I was wrong... I don't mind it for doing quick studies, and I'll always prefer it for storyboarding, but the painting is better in Photoshop. End of rant.
