Here are a couple more quick watercolour sketches from the sketchbook...I start a new contract on Monday, and school is back from break, so the watercolours are likely to slow down for a while. Hope you like them, I certainly enjoy making them:)

Had a busy weekend at lectures by Nathan Fowkes, and Stephen Silver, as part of Bobby Chiu's schoolism. Both are excellent speakers, talented artists, and approachable fellows, and I'd say it was 8 hours of cavernous time well spent. I don't have much to post, so here are a couple sketches from the clipboard, from a Friday night spent watching the Muppets, and Napoleon Dynamite...the temptation to throw some quick digital paint at Kermit was too great to pass up.

2 Watercolours

I really do go through phases when I blog; I have a 'Cup 'o' Doodle' phase, I go through many 'Pin-Up Girl' phases, I have 'Monster' phases, the odd 'Comic Book Character' phase, but at the moment, I appear to be in the midst of a 'Watercolours' phase...and I LOVE it! I still have lots to learn about the medium, but I really enjoy the process, and if I found someone to pay me to work with paint all day...I would probably grow to resent it...so, I'll continue storyboarding, and reserve the painting for fun on my own time;)

Plastic Suit Lady

Pulled out the watercolours again last night, as I'm prone to do, while I vegged out on the couch...this Simpsons skinned, plastic clad lady was the result.
